As we approach the day when we Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we are reminded of what a great sacrifice God made to offer salvation to everyone who would believe. Truly this was the greatest gift ever given,
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17

I like the way the late Vance Havner said it, "God didn't send His Son into the world to 'rub it in' but to 'rub it out!'"

What a wonderful, gracious, loving, caring, giving, kind, generous, just, holy, God we serve.

"And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth." Revelation 5:9-10

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!" And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: "Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!" Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever."  Revelation 5:12-14

Let's join in and praise our Lord during this season of remembrance.
